How do I add a task quickly?
On Tasks, press C or click New task, write it the way you'd say it, like "Call Deschênes tomorrow @Tom !high", then click Create.
Open Tasks, press C (or click New task), and write the task the way you'd say it, like "Call Deschênes tomorrow @Tom !high". Alori reads the date, the person and the priority for you. Click Create.
Also called: new task, to-do, add a to-do, reminder, quick add, nouvelle tâche, ajouter une tâche, à faire, rappel
Step 1: Open the quick add
Click Tasks in the left menu, then New task, or press C on your keyboard.
Click: Tasks › New task
Step 2: Write it the way you'd say it
Type your task in one line. Alori picks out:
A date: today, tomorrow, a weekday (friday), next friday, in 3 days, in 2 weeks, 12/5 (day/month), or 5 march.
A person: @ and their first name, like @Tom, or @me.
A priority: !urgent, !high, !medium or !low.
A project or a customer: when a word matches one name.
Under the line you see Alori read… with what it found. French words work too (demain, jeudi, !haute).
Step 3: Check the date and priority, then create
The date starts on Today unless you wrote one. Tap Tomorrow, In 1 week or In 2 weeks to change it, or pick a priority. Press Enter or click Create. You see Created. It's in "…" with the group it went to, like This week. Click Undo to take it back.
Click: Create
Good to know
The quick add needs no AI, so it's instant and free.
Press Esc to close it without saving.
On a customer, a job or a project, the task you add is linked to it.
Open the task afterwards to add a description, subtasks or labels.
You can also ask Ask Alori: "remind me to order filters Thursday".
My tasks groups your tasks by Late, Today, This week, Later and No date.
If it doesn't work
I don't see New task. Your role can only view tasks. Ask the owner.
The person wasn't picked. Two teammates share that first name, or it's spelled differently. Type their full name with no space, or choose the Assignee on the task.
The date wasn't read. Write it as 12/5, 5 march, or a weekday.
"Give the task a title." Write what to do, not only a date or a name.
