How do I create a page in Docs?

In Docs, click New page, or the + next to Team or Private. Type the title, then write. Pages save on their own.

Updated October 26, 2026

Open Docs in the menu and click New page. The page opens with its title ready to type. Everything you write saves on its own, and teammates on the same page see your changes as you type.

The first time anyone opens Docs, a Welcome to Docs page is already there in Team to show you how it works. Edit it or delete it like any page.

Also called: Notion, wiki, doc, document, procedure, SOP, page, note, procédure, document, Notion.

Step 1: Pick where the page goes

The + next to Team makes a page everyone on the team can edit. The + next to Private makes a page only you can see. New page at the top puts it in Team.

Click: Docs › + next to Team or Private

Step 2: Type the title, then press Enter

Type the title in the big New page line. Press Enter to start writing the page itself.

Step 3: Start empty or from a template

Under the first line of an empty page, Start with offers ready-made pages: Procedure, Job checklist, Equipment guide, Meeting notes and New teammate. Click one to fill the page, or just start typing.

Click: Start with › Procedure

Put a page inside another page

Hover a page in the sidebar and click its + to add a page inside it. You can also drag a page onto another one. A page inside another follows its sharing.

If it doesn't work

  • "This page doesn't exist, or it isn't shared with you.": ask someone with Full access to share it with you.

  • No + next to a page: you can only view or comment on that page.
