How do I export or import pages?

••• › Export saves a page and its subpages as Markdown or HTML (a zip with CSV for databases) or as a PDF. Import in the sidebar brings in Markdown, HTML, Word or CSV.

Updated October 26, 2026

Take your pages out of Alori, or bring in documents and spreadsheets. Export is in the page's ••• menu; Import is at the bottom of the Docs sidebar.

Also called: download, backup, PDF, Markdown, HTML, Word, docx, CSV, exporter, importer, sauvegarde.

Step 1: Export a page

On the page, click ••• › Export. Pick Markdown, HTML or PDF, then click Export. Markdown and HTML include the page's subpages, and each database as a CSV file, in one zip. Only pages you can open are included.

Click: ••• › Export › Markdown › Export

Step 2: Save it as a PDF

Pick PDF and click Export. Your browser's print window opens with only the page. Choose "Save as PDF" there.

Step 3: Import a file

Click Import at the bottom of the sidebar and pick a file:

  • Markdown, HTML or Word (.docx) becomes a new page. Its first heading becomes the title.

  • CSV becomes a database.

New pages go under Team and open when the import is done.

Click: Import › your file

If it doesn't work

  • "This file can't be imported. Try Markdown, HTML, Word or CSV.": pick one of those file types.

  • "This file has more than 1,000 rows.": split the CSV into smaller files.
