How do I go back to an earlier version?
Open History and click Restore to here on the version you want. It uses credits and never changes your data. Publish to show it to your team.
Open History and click Restore to here on the version you want. Your preview goes back to how your app looked and worked at that point. Your data stays as it is now.
Also called: restore, roll back, revert, version history, previous version, restaurer, version précédente, historique
Every change Alori makes is saved as a version, so you can always go back.
Step 1: Open History
Click History at the top of your workspace. Each version shows what changed, its number (Version 12) and when. Current marks the one in your preview, and Live for your team marks the one your team uses.
Click: History
Step 2: Pick a version and restore it
Find the version you want and click Restore to here. The panel closes and the restore starts in the chat.
Click: History › Restore to here
Step 3: Follow it in the chat
The chat shows "Your app is going back to version…" with the credits used so far. It takes a few minutes, and your app keeps working meanwhile. When it's done, Alori says "Your app is back to version…". Sometimes it adds: "A few parts stay up to date so your app works with the current Alori and your data."
Step 4: Publish when you're ready
The restore only changes your preview. To show it to your team, click Publish › Publish now.
Click: Publish › Publish now
Good to know
It uses credits, the same as asking for a change in chat. You're only charged when the restore works.
It never touches your data. Customers, quotes, jobs and invoices stay exactly as they are now. Only screens and how the app works go back.
Nothing is deleted. The restore shows in History as a new version, "Restored: …". Newer versions stay there, so you can restore them too.
To stop a restore, click Stop in the chat. Your app stays as it was.
If it doesn't work
"Restoring a version uses credits. Add credits, then try again." Add credits, then click Restore to here again.
"Wait for the current change to finish, then restore." Alori is still working. Wait for the change to finish, then try again.
The Restore to here button is grey. A change or another restore is running. Wait for it to finish.
"That version couldn't be restored, so your app wasn't changed. Try again in a moment." Try again in a minute.
"I couldn't bring that version back, so your app stayed as it was and you weren't charged." Your app is unchanged. Try again, or describe in the chat what you want back.
