How do I undo a published update?

Open History, click Restore to here on the version before the update, wait for it to finish in the chat, then click Publish.

Updated October 22, 2026

To undo something your team sees, go back to an earlier version in History, then publish it. Your team gets the old screens back, and your data stays as it is now.

Also called: roll back, revert, cancel an update, undo publish, annuler une mise à jour, revenir en arrière, restaurer

Step 1: Open History

Click History at the top of your workspace. You see every saved version, newest on top. The one your team uses has the Live for your team tag.

Click: History

Step 2: Restore the version before the update

Find the version just below the one tagged Live for your team: that's how your app was before the update. Click Restore to here beside it. Restoring uses credits, the same as asking for a change in chat.

Click: History › Restore to here

Step 3: Wait for the restore in the chat

The chat shows "Your app is going back to version…". It takes a few minutes. Your app keeps working while it runs. When it's done, Alori says "Your app is back to version…" and your preview shows the old screens. Your team doesn't see it yet.

Step 4: Publish

Click Publish, then Publish now. Your team now sees the screens from before the update.

Click: Publish › Publish now

Good to know

  • Nothing is lost. The newer versions stay in History, so you can restore them later.

  • Restoring brings back screens and how the app worked. It never brings back old data: customers, quotes and jobs stay as they are now.

  • Changes made after that version leave your preview too. If you want to keep some of them, ask for them again in the chat after the restore.

If it doesn't work

  • "Restoring a version uses credits. Add credits, then try again." You're out of credits. Add credits, then click Restore to here again.

  • "Wait for the current change to finish, then restore." Alori is still working on a change. Wait for it to finish, or click Stop, then try again.

  • "That version couldn't be restored, so your app wasn't changed. Try again in a moment." Nothing changed. Try again in a minute.

  • "I couldn't bring that version back, so your app stayed as it was and you weren't charged." The restore didn't work. Your app is as it was. Try again, or ask in the chat for the change you want undone.
