How do I set up pipelines and stages?
On Deals, click Edit pipeline to rename, reorder, add or remove stages, then Save. Click New pipeline to add another one.
A pipeline is the list of steps a sale goes through. On Leads & deals, click Edit pipeline to rename, reorder, add or remove its stages, then click Save. Click New pipeline to add another one, for example one for new installs and one for maintenance contracts.

Step 1: Open Edit pipeline
Open Leads & deals and click Edit pipeline above the board. Only the owner and people who can change settings see this button.

Step 2: Change the stages
The window has two lists:
Lead stages: new requests start here. Moving one past these stages makes it a deal.
Deal stages: the real sales in progress.
Type over a stage's name to rename it. Use Move up and Move down to change the order: moving a stage past the line between the two lists moves it to the other list. Click Remove stage to take one out, or Add a stage to add one. Won and Lost always end the pipeline.

Step 3: Save
Rename the pipeline in Pipeline name if you like, then click Save. You see Pipeline saved. Open deals on a removed stage go back to the first one.

Step 4: Add another pipeline
Click New pipeline, type its Pipeline name, and click Save. It starts with the usual stages and opens so you can change them. To switch pipelines, pick one in the menu beside Search deals.

Good to know
To delete a pipeline, open it, click Edit pipeline, then Delete pipeline. Its deals move to your main pipeline. The main pipeline can't be deleted.
You can have up to 20 pipelines, each with 3 to 20 stages.

If it doesn't work
"Every stage needs a name." Fill in the empty stage, or remove it.
"A pipeline keeps at least one open stage, plus Won and Lost." Keep at least one deal stage.
"A pipeline has between 3 and 20 stages." Add or remove stages to fit.
"You already have 20 pipelines." Delete one you don't use first.
"The main pipeline can't be deleted." Rename it instead.
No Edit pipeline button. Your role can't change settings. Ask the owner.
